HEMI. The interior harness is the same whether you have a Manual or an Auto tranny, actually it is the same for most truck models. It is cheaper to have 1 harness for all uses and just add the options rather than have different interior harnesses based on which options you want to slap in the truck.

I am getting ready to convert mine to a manual and as said earlier for what I have in the conversion so far I could have built a pretty damn stout automatic. I have probably almost $ in it so far with half of that being the DD clutch, 1 3/8" input,and hydraulics. 2. The best way,IMO, is a 5-speed. This lets you run a performance rear gear, which allows your engine to spool up faster, and hopefully your zero to 60 can be much improved; all while maintaining hiway driveability. And the worst for performance,IMO again, is the Mopar od box; for two reasons. 4x4 Reg Cab, 6" GrandRock's, SBC DD , Adrenaline w/ Pulse, FASS , Isspro gauges, Auto to NV swap, Leveled on 's - GONE L G56 Manual 4x4 Quad Cab Dually, Bone Stock.

The local Dodge parts guy spent some time on the computer, printed out complete list of parts that are different between manual and auto transmissions. Took that to a junkyard about 30 miles away where there's a GOLD MINE of old. In my limited research on the subject of doing this conversion, I learned that Dakotas with automatic transmissions may have different crankshafts than those with manuals one that is not machined to take a pilot bearing, and it is entirely possible that the trucks came ready for auto or manual, and switching between the two is simply a matter of parts.
